Not every dealer can legally supply R-22.
R-22 (HCFC-22) is a controlled substance — selling it in India requires registration as a seller of ozone-depleting substances under Rule 6 of the ODS Rules, 2000, which many dealers do not hold. We hold that registration and supply R-22 for the servicing and maintenance of existing and legacy equipment, with the documentation your procurement and compliance teams need. Under the certificate, sale of HCFC-22 is permitted for servicing of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, with use for servicing provided up to 1 January 2040.
