This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you use this website. It is written to meet the notice requirements of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

The short version

There is no account to create, no form to fill in and nothing to pay for on this website. We do not ask you for your name, and we do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone for their own marketing. The only thing that routinely collects data about your visit is Google Analytics, which tells us which pages get read. Everything else on the site, the search box and the answers assistant, runs entirely inside your own browser and sends us nothing.

What we collect, and why

We do not collect any of the categories people usually worry about: no payment or card details, no government ID, no biometric or location tracking beyond the approximate city Google infers from your IP address, and no advertising or cross-site profiling. We do not run advertising on this site and we do not use Google Analytics data for ad targeting or remarketing.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_YZGTBWHY04. They hold a randomly generated identifier so that repeat page views in the same visit are not counted as separate people. They are not used to identify you personally, and we set no other cookies of our own — our code does not write cookies at all.

You can refuse or delete them at any time in your browser settings without losing any function of this site; nothing here depends on a cookie. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site you visit.

The answers assistant and the search box

Both run entirely in your browser. The assistant is not an AI and has no server behind it: it matches your question against a file of pre-written answers that was downloaded with the page. Your questions are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we cannot read them. Your conversation is held in your browser's sessionStorage, which is specific to that one tab and is discarded when you close it. There is also a clear-chat button. The site search works the same way — the index is a file in your browser, and what you type never leaves your device.

Who else is involved

• Google LLC / Google India — processes the analytics data described above. Google's own privacy policy and business data terms apply to what it does with it.
• Netlify — hosts this website and therefore handles the server logs described above.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — the WhatsApp buttons on this site are ordinary links. Nothing is sent until you tap one and press send in WhatsApp yourself, at which point Meta's terms govern the message.

Some of these providers operate servers outside India, so analytics and log data may be processed abroad. We do not otherwise transfer your data out of India. Beyond these providers, we disclose personal data to no one — except where a law, court, or a regulator such as the Ozone Cell (MoEFCC) or the GST authorities requires it of us.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is held by Google under the data-retention period configured in our Google Analytics account; aggregated reports, which cannot identify you, may be kept longer. Hosting logs are retained by Netlify on its own schedule. Enquiry messages and order records we keep for as long as we need them to serve you, and thereafter for as long as tax, GST and ODS record-keeping obligations require.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

If you have given us personal data, for example by sending an enquiry, you have the right to:

• ask what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it;
• have it corrected, completed or updated if it is wrong;
• have it erased, unless we are required by law to keep it;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated;
• raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it.

Please note that analytics data is not tied to your name, so in most cases we have no way of finding "your" record in it; the browser opt-out and cookie controls above are the practical remedy there.

Children

This is a business-to-business trade website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and we do not carry out behavioural tracking or targeted advertising, which the DPDP Act prohibits in relation to children.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything that collects data — an enquiry form, for example — we will update this page before it goes live and change the date below. This page has no version history, so the date is the only record.
