Indian MEP tender practice generally names the refrigerant type in the bill of quantities, which means substitution is not a decision the contractor gets to make quietly on site. If the BOQ says R-410A, supplying R-32 because it was available is a handover problem and potentially a warranty one, since the two are not interchangeable in a system designed for either.
What we can do about the servicing half
The unplanned side is where a local supplier is worth more than a cheaper distant one. Our shop is at Old Bhoiguda, Ranigunj — the traditional refrigeration and air-conditioning spare-parts quarter of Secunderabad — and the trade has collected from this area for decades on the assumption that same-day is possible.
Practically, that means:
- Gas and accessories on one dispatch — copper, cable, brackets, fittings, vacuum pumps — instead of two errands
- Collection from the shop for anyone in the twin cities; transport dispatch Pan-India
- A straight answer on availability rather than a published figure that has gone stale
Send the product, quantity and location and you get a current answer. We do not publish prices or stock levels on the site for the simple reason that both move.
Documentation you will need at handover
On projects of any size the client's team will ask for a document pack, and refrigerant is part of it. What we can supply against any order:

That last point is worth flagging to any contractor still handling R-22. Servicing legacy equipment with it is entirely lawful; buying it from someone who is not a registered seller is not, and it is your paperwork that will be examined alongside theirs. Your duties as a buyer sets out where the line falls.
The A2L conversation you are about to have more often
As R-32 displaces R-410A in new residential and light-commercial equipment, more of the installed base a contractor touches is mildly flammable. That changes handling and tooling expectations, and it changes what you tell a client about a room's minimum area for a given charge.
It is not a reason for alarm — A2Ls have been in routine use for years — but it is a reason to be deliberate rather than assume the R-410A habits transfer. A2L handling and charge limits and what technicians need to change cover it properly.

Do you supply refrigerant in bulk for projects?
Yes. Send the gas named in the BOQ, the quantity and the delivery schedule and we will confirm availability. Documentation for handover — invoice, SDS and our registrations — comes with the order.
Can I collect gas and accessories in one visit?
Yes. Copper, cables, brackets, fittings, vacuum pumps and high-pressure washers are stocked alongside the gas at Ranigunj, and dispatch to outstation addresses goes on a single consignment.
Can a contractor buy R-22 for servicing work?
Yes, for servicing equipment already installed, provided it is bought from a registered ODS seller. Manufacturing new equipment charged with R-22 has been prohibited in India since 1 January 2025.
